Meet Brendon Rosenbaum of Ralph & Louie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brendon Rosenbaum.

Brendon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started 25 years ago. When I first fell in love with a genre of music called “House Music” from there I learned how to produce and DJ. These two things led me to learning about the background of the entertainment industry including event coordinating and promotion and marketing. I am responsible for the first ever electronic music festival in Georgia called Future Fest which paved the way for events like TomorrowWorld, Shakey Beats, Couterpoint and Imagine festivals.

I continued to produce events and still do today. But the best thing that has grown from these experiences is my music. Recently co-founding Southern Exposure Music and in 2009 forming the well-known house Music DJ duo Ralph & Louie with Longtime best friend Jason Comstock.

We have won the prestigious “Best of Atlanta” award via Creative Loafing an astounding 7 times in the past four years including 3 x Best Electronic Act, Best Producer, Best Live Act and Best Music Video.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To be so far ahead of my time in what has become a huge market. Throwing Dance Music events were frowned upon back in the late 90s but through perseverance and dedication, I have been able to overcome many obstacles to create a solid fan base and consistency.

Please tell us about Ralph & Louie.
As this market grew we created a Sound and stuck with it. We are most proud of not trying to be like every other performance act out there and we were able to carve our own way. Through this adventure, we have built a solid team with our record Label Southern Exposure Music. Along with colleagues Jason Comstock, Ronnie and Brianne Rask, Chris Reiche and Corey Von Waters. Our Record label has also won “Atlanta’s best local Studio” 2017.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory is when my mother and father bought me my first drum set. I was 5 years old. I knew from that point that it would be music or nothing for me. It set myself up for my dreams.
