Meet Charlotte Wilson of Envy U Photography in Savannah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlotte Wilson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Charlotte. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
A little about who I am? I am the owner of Envy U Photography, LLC, a local woman-owned business. I am originally from Baxley GA, I am COUNTRY Heart & Soul! I enjoy music of all sort & art. I am a GODLY woman, I believe in a person’s value. I believe in honesty. I have a son that is my heart. I lost my daughter to a drunk driver in 2001, they are my passion of why I do the things I do. I enjoy a good movie (action mostly). I enjoy laughing and socializing with friends & family. But most of the time you will find me in front of my computer … studying a new trick … Or planning a shoot.

Photography is my BIGGEST PASSION in the WORLD. It’s what keeps me going. I have won many awards for boudoir photography. I am a giving person and I enjoy giving back, and with boudoir, I can do just that! I enjoy showing women just how beautiful they truly are. I enjoy helping models see their potentials. I enjoy doing senior sessions too. helping them be creative and show off their amazing last year of school, and give them something to really remember!

I am committed to helping make every woman realize that YOU are beautiful, even when you aren’t feel it! Trust ME we ALL have those days, where we would just like to crawl under the bed. I know I sure do!

When you walk into our studio, you are greeting with warm, southern charm. I offer a safe and wondering place that allows you to express your unique femininity without any judgments. In fact, it’s just the opposite, with many praises. It’s an Experience that I have seen to be life-changing experiences.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road for me. I have had many ups & downs in my life. I wanted to start photography back at an earlier age, that didn’t happen, because of where I am from. People had to mentality that you should get married & start a family. I had a chance at an art scholarship, but wasn’t able to take it. So, I got married & divorced twice & lost a child, before really starting my photography business. Once I started it, I had to place it on hold yet again, because I got all of my photography equipment stolen from me. But I overcame that just as I have many hills in my life.

Envy U Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in boudoir photography. I also teach aspiring models. I enjoy showing a woman how to see their self in a different life. How to overcome things giving to them. How to get their confidence back within their self. I have been known to help create a baby or two… HAHHAA…

My studio is in my home, I find that women enjoy coming somewhere that’s comfortable, like coming over to a girlfriend’s house and getting dressed up, just a photo shoot is included. (wink)

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The first time I was published in dark beauty. I created a Queen of hearts outfit for an aspiring model. It was super exciting!!

Other moments were when I won many awards with AIBP!!
