Meet Quinn Bartlett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Quinn Bartlett. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Quinn Bartlett is a serial entrepreneur operating several business ventures in Atlanta, some to name are a professional Tax Office and Project Management Office (The Corner Office ATL), a film and theatrical production company (The Corner Office Productions), and her newest venture, a Caribbean restaurant called The Blue Marlin Bistro. Quinn relocated from Florida to Atlanta in 2018. She was born and raised in West End, Grand Bahama in the Bahamas and Liberty City, Miami.

Quinn, aka Queen aka Boss Lady, is the epitome of what people would call a “Bona fide Corporate Hustler.” She lets nothing stop her. Even with health issues, she manages to still pursue her dreams and overcome any obstacle thrown her way. Her motto is “faith over fear” and she firmly believes in manifesting your greatness and speaking it into existence.

Even in a pandemic, she is confident that her restaurant will thrive and become one of Atlanta’s loved locations for good eats. She explained that as a little girl in West End, she would walk pass a broken-down blue brick building every morning on her way to school and was always fascinated and drawn to it. She would go inside and pick up rocks and just be a nosey to see what trinkets she could find. It wasn’t until she became an adult the her grandmother advise her that back in the 60s that building was called “The Blue Marlin” and used to be the place to be. A place where stars would perform and people loved to go. Her grandmother mentioned that she happened to be a waitress there also. While working there, she met Quinn’s grandfather, a famous musician John Chippie Chipman and they conceived her mom. She thinks that her love for entertaining people came from her grandfather and her love for cooking her grandmother. She knew she wanted to open a restaurant yet pondered many nights on the name and then it.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
There have been many struggles like keeping a business open during the Pandemic or being brave enough to start a meeting one. Managing and juggling finances and maintaining a solid family life while running several businesses.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Quinn believes she is whatever she puts her heart into. Having many professions over the years has taught her that the only true profession is having one where you are doing what you love to do.

Can you talk about how you think about risk?
When the idea of opening the restaurant this year came up, it was terrifying. Thoughts of failure or the lack of finances or support almost made her give up. However, her faith in God and motivation keeps her going daily.
