Today we’d like to introduce you to Willie Davis.
Hi Willie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I spent over a decade in corporate America working in marketing and communications for some of the best and largest brands around – including Volkswagen of America, Taubman Centers, RAM Trucks, and Dimension Data Americas (now NTT). I’ve always enjoyed the work I’ve done and it has taken me to great places and allowed me to meet some amazing people. But eventually, I wanted to take the things that I’ve learned working for other people and apply them to my own brand and business.
In early 2017, I took another leap and stepped into the world of entrepreneurship to become a REALTOR® and developed my brand now known as Willie Davis, REALTOR®, under Willie J. Properties LLC. This has allowed me to become an award-winning real estate brand and agent working with buyers, sellers, and real estate investors throughout metro Detroit and now the greater Atlanta area. My main goal is to help families, investors, and other individuals buy and sell real estate and achieve the goals and dreams that they have for themselves.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Radio Broadcast from Rochester College (now Rochester University) and I am a dually licensed agent in Michigan and Georgia and a member of the National Association of Realtors. In Georgia, I am a part of the Perks by Perk Real Estate brokerage.
Today, I am the creator and co-host of On The Verge Podcast with fellow entrepreneur and friend, Tami McQueen where we have conversations focusing on entrepreneurship and those tough conversations that no one else had with us about being in the game. Additionally, I am a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council with the Atlanta REALTORS® Association. In 2021, I’ve been honored as a Real Producers of Oakland County Best-in-Class as well as a featured Rising Star.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Getting to where I am, some of the struggles were about staying the course. It can be easy to get discouraged as an entrepreneur or get distracted by other things. It’s also important to focus on yourself and your business. I spent the first year or so looking to see what other people were doing and how they were my competition when they really weren’t. I was trying to do things that other people were doing and the ways they were doing them.

I’ve been in business since 2017 and dully licensed in Michigan and Georgia. I work with many first-time homebuyers, new construction, and investors. I am very proud to provide my clients a level of education that comes with purchasing a home and a concierge experience to help make the process that much easier for them. I am also a Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), the premier credential in seller representation designed to elevate professional standards and enhance personal performance.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is working hard for my clients to help them achieve something that maybe they thought was impossible. Working hard to help them achieve their goals and at the end of the day, am happy and satisfied with what I have done.
