Today we’d like to introduce you to Sidney Hardeman.
Sidney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started back in February when I started planning my business down to every detail. I was also in school at the time to become a certified dental assistant. I told myself once I finished, I was going to take all my planning and ideas into a teeth whitening business. I knew I had the potential to be successful with this business and make more than enough profit back! I also came up with the idea to sell whitening products with my branding logo as well so I can double my income.
After I finished my internship at a dentist’s office, I graduated from school and took off with my business from there. Everything hasn’t always been easy with this business. You have your slow days, busy days, or sometimes days without clients at all. I didn’t let none of that stops me! Most people are always skeptical about starting a business because of the ups and downs that come with it. I didn’t let fear get in the way of me becoming successful! Networking, social media, and my friend’s support have kept me going and, most importantly, my clients! Teeth whitening, tooth gems, and my whitening products are all a part of my income and what makes my business. I came up with the name Lifeline Smiles because people should be reminded of how important oral hygiene is. Your teeth are just as important as your health!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every business comes with struggles the first couple of months. Adjusting and getting used to seeing different people you don’t know almost every day is mainly the struggle I was having. I have bad anxiety, so sometimes it can be hard opening up to people you don’t know about yourself and your business. Clientele was also a struggle too, but social media and getting the word out has helped a lot!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a teeth whitening/tooth gem specialist and I sell products. My whitening products consist of whitening strips, mobile smart teeth whitening kits, charcoal whitening powder, and bamboo toothbrushes. I’m proud of myself for having the encourage to start this business and to keep going no matter what bumps come in the road! I think what sets me apart from others is the fact that I don’t let slow days slow me down. Most people get discouraged with this, and this will stop them from being consistent. Another thing that sets me apart from others is how I sell four different whitening products for clients to choose from, and they help with maintaining your white smile in between appointments.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was always the good child growing up and rarely got in trouble. I definitely was a caring person and was instantly nice to people. I’ve been very humble throughout my life because of the few struggles I’ve been through in the past. I’m in a way better position I am now than I was two years ago. I stay humble because I know everything could be taken away in the blink of an eye.
