Today, we’d like to introduce you to Megan Minor. Megan was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Priscila Camara.
Hi Megan, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
I am a wife, a mom of two, and a kindergarten teacher! My kids are 3 and 6 months old. I met Priscila the year before I got pregnant with my daughter. Her daughter was in my kindergarten class and they were the sweetest family! When I found out she was a photographer, I was blown away by her talent.
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
As a kindergarten teacher, I strive to connect with the families of my students. Priscila’s family was kind and supportive from the start! They are truly wonderful people.
Priscila Camara and Priscila Camara Photography have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Priscila and your experience with them.
I could not have asked for a better experience with maternity and newborn photos! I didn’t get studio newborn photos with my son and I always regretted it. It was very important to me to capture these moments as our family grew.
I did two maternity shoots with Priscila – one outdoor and one in studio. We even included my very busy toddler! I was amazed at how professional she was. I felt spoiled. She provides a huge variety of dresses to choose from and lets you come try them on to pick out ones you love. She made me feel beautiful and confident selecting gowns. She has everything a photographer could need, including a pop-up changing room to change comfortably outdoors! She was incredibly kind and patient with my son when shooting the maternity pictures outside, and made me feel amazing. She posed me and my family and made both shoots feel effortless for us. When I came to her studio for the indoor maternity shoot, she even had snacks and water ready. It was so calm, relaxing, and such a beautiful experience I’ll always remember as we awaited our baby girl.
Priscilla was so flexible with planning and was ready to go when we had our girl a week early. Taking newborn photos in Priscila’s studio will always be a favorite memory of mine. Her studio is so comfortable and she makes sure the parents feel calm and completely spoiled. It was mesmerizing watching her work!! Her number one priority is baby safety, and she is great at explaining what she is doing. The way she can pose the babies is truly magic! She takes her time, pauses when the baby needs to eat, and ensures comfort and happiness for everyone there. She even had us bring our son again to the newborn sessions and captured beautiful pictures of him with his new sister.
The photos themselves are nothing short of perfection. I cried each time she sent a gallery. Priscila has captured my absolute favorite family photos, and made my little baby look like a model. We have her pictures blown up and framed all around our house. Her work truly belongs in magazines.
