Hi Benji, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been battle-tested my whole life when it comes to overcoming problems that arise in life. My name is Benji Pedro, an artist who always had that special vibe. No matter what I do they gravitate towards it in a positive way because the vibes is pure. I have been around music and loved music since the day I could remember to listen and hip hop was my first love. I have been playing around with freestyling my whole life but it was 2015 when I finally put my hidden talent to work for me and not against me.
I have been through many ups and downs with learning the rap game and culture, but through the years, I discovered this is purely a business, not a game with your friends. I created my own wave and vibe off living and sound with my “YUNG” motto, which stands for “young, underrated, n*gga, grinding,” and my music speaks that into reality every song. I make music to change the mood to live life and spread the wealth in the most YUNG way possible. I have been have made well over 250,000 streams/views in total with the movement so far and always looking to expand as I feel like this vibe of music and message could be the face of the future of hip hop as a culture. I feel like I made many steps in my rap career I just feel like it’s that time to take the next steps to stardom and make this rap a career rather than just a hobby.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a roller coaster. I know many people who let their life be the downfall of their goals and dreams. I use it as motivation. No matter what I do, I make sure I bounce back stronger than before. I was arrested in 2021 in march for some warrants and was caused to be in jail for 45 days, not knowing my future and really questioning my whole career. I made it from that time and im writing this letter so that tells you how you can overcome anything and be better than before.

I’m a trendsetter. My vibe speaks for itself and I’m not the most flashy. Its about charisma with me. I can change the vibe of a room by presence. I have a special God-given talent thats meant for stage life. I tell my story and my life movements through my music and my YUNG lifestyle. The way I carry myself i always speak that on tracks no matter what. I can really turn any dull moment into a legendary moment. This YUNG Sh*t not a joke or fluke its really can be th enext big thing if the right ears get behind the music because the mental aspect is a lock for sure.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I never really thought too much into it. I have been a networking junky for a while now.
