Hi Sharena, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After 15 years of working as a successful Real Estate Broker managing my brokerage Maison Fleur Realty Group; a high-risk pregnancy and the birth of my daughter Dhakiyah changed my life forever. In 2017, I experienced a series of events that led to a Spiritual Awakening which changed my mindset, my outlook on life and how I did business.
Amidst heavy postpartum depression, I launched The Regal Phoenix Crystal Shop on my daughter’s first birthday in 2018. My love for healing crystals started over a decade ago before Regal Phoenix was born into the online shop community. I’ve always known that magic was everywhere, and the power of crystals couldn’t be denied when they’ve helped heal me at every low and supported me through every high. I knew I couldn’t keep the power of crystals to myself, so I began gifting them to friends, family, and colleagues. Before long, everyone around me was experiencing healing powers and alignment. But I couldn’t stop there. If my inner circles could realize the power in these healing gifts, then imagine how amazing it would be to open that possibility up to the rest of the world.
It was at the suggestion of my friends that I turned that passion into a business and here we are today a six-figure online crystal boutique that helps everyone recognize the healer inside of them. The shop offers crystal prescriptions for issues such as anxiety, weight loss, fertility, lack of money, insomnia and more. It also provides popular metaphysical supplies such as white sage, Florida water, incense and intention candles.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! During the first quarter of our first year, I could barely afford to keep the online store active. There was no inventory on hand in the beginning and there were no profits taken for a long time. I reinvested 100% of the profits each month in order to grow and scale the business. In 2019, The Regal Phoenix went viral on Pinterest and we went on to have our most profitable year in 2020. This year, 2021 has been a struggle from dealing with a surprise high-risk pregnancy, the pandemic causing inventory shortages and shipping delays and just attempting to balance life amidst it all. But challenges are a part of life and it’s how we learn, grow and become stronger.
Although business has slowed down, I’ve taken this time to invest in strategically re-organizing the business, marketing and strengthening the foundation in preparation for the holiday season, Black Friday and 2022.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
As an introvert with anxiety, networking was hard for me in the beginning but the power of social media allowed me to be extroverted behind a keyboard. When I finally did go out and network, people knew who I was, they were intrigued by the vibes and wanted to mix and mingle with me. This meant that many times I didn’t have to break the ice or spark conversations myself.
I also set intentions to get over my anxiety about networking. It became a part of my transformation on this journey to the point that now I am confident in who I am and how my gifts can help others. I actually enjoy networking now when I decide to go out!
