Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Tiarra.
Hi Amber, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always loved hair and makeup but never planned to become a Cosmetologist. In high school, I always created different hairstyles and stayed in make up. I graduated and went to traditional college in hopes of becoming a pediatrician. After being away, I had to learn how to do sew ins on myself and that’s when I realized hair was my true passion. I left college after three years, came back home and got my license as a Master Cosmetologist.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all! Lol. For years, on and off, I worked in other salons that I was just not happy at. I was juggling working full-time jobs while trying to pursue my hair career. The money was inconsistent so I had to keep a 9-5 job. Recently I’ve recently my full potential and I’m walking away from Corporate America for good. I know God has his hands on me.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Rare Perfection Beauty?
I’m located in Lithonia, GA at Stonecrest Salon Suites. I have a full-service hair salon specializing in wig installs and lace closure sew ins. I’m most known for my signature curls and lace closures, that’s my most popular service. I set myself apart from other stylists by providing exemplary customer service, holding myself accountable at all times, and making sure my clients are satisfied to the best of my ability. A lot of stylists just take money and move to the next client. I like to build relationships with my clients to keep them coming back. I’m most proud of having my own salon suite for the first time in my career doing it all by myself. I want people to know that my brand stands on customer service and loyalty. I want everyone that leaves my salon to feel amazing and be happy they chose me to be their stylist.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was not into hair and make up! I wouldn’t say I was a tomboy but I wasn’t asking for Barbie dolls for Christmas, lol. I loved being cute and I remember always in some type of dance class. As I got in my adolescence years and high school, I became even more girly. I was Into cheering and Captain of the step team in high school one year.
