Meet Mattene Butler of Buttlerdiapercakes in Douglasville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mattene Butler.

Mattene, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started creating Diaper Cakes in 2010 after I had my little girl Alyssa Marie. I’ve loved sharing my handcrafted creations with others, and I always heard the phrase “You should open your own business”. Well, I guess I won’t hear that phrase anymore since I opened my website in January 2017. My goal has been to create and sell items with the top of the line products and effort. So, with every diaper cake I make is customized to the buyers wants, needs, and budget. If you can dream it, I can create it!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I have to say it has been hard. I haven’t had very good success but, I believe that is due to advertising and making myself known. The more people that hear about me and see my work the more successful I will be!

Please tell us about Buttlerdiapercakes.
I customized baby and wedding shower gifts. I specialize in diaper cakes but I also do party decorations and gift baskets. I am known for my uniqueness.

I take a lot of pride in what I do and I hold my standards high to ensure the customer is happy.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have started advertising more.
