Community Highlights: Meet Patricia Mahone of Hidden Gems Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Mahone.

Hi Patricia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a wife, mother of three, and a grandmother. I have a passion for people and had served in the restaurant industry for over 20 years as a multi-unit manager. I have owned and operated several MLM businesses but knew there was something a little different about me and my approach. I had more interest in the processes and helping others get an understanding of themselves as it pertains to their businesses.

In February 2020, I became the founder and chief consultant of Hidden Gems Consulting, LLC. My mission is to cultivate a community of visionaries through workshops, motivational speaking, coaching, and community outreach. Hidden Gems Consulting provides an atmosphere for dreaming and goal setting through proven strategies and structure. My purpose is to walk you to and through your purpose. I utilize several different strategies to help my clients walk into their God-given assignments. Hidden Gems Consulting uses its platform to promote and encourage other small businesses, entrepreneurs, creatives, coaches, and authors.

In February 2021, I received my certification as a Certified Life Coach from Global Connections Academy. My area of concentration is purpose, vision, dreams, and some business coaching. I use my coaching as a tool to promote growth and resilience in my clients. I utilize the word of God and give practical applications for my client’s everyday lives.

As I continue on this journey, I am so thankful for the opportunities to work with some amazing people, businesses, and organizations.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think any road is smooth. I do believe the bumps and curves in the road build character and resilience. When I first started, I had booked many in-person vision board parties and workshops. As you know, around March 2020, everything got shut down because of Covid-19. I had to figure out how to pivot. I moved my workshops online. I took a class to see what this would look like. I learned about Zoom. I had to practice and get comfortable with being on screen and working with technology. As I moved forward with my workshops, I realized the need to supply my clients with the materials they need for the vision board workshops. This is how the Purpose Pak was born. I put together a kit that included everything you needed to create at least two vision boards. I even included the magazines and two boards. I went through trial and era with what I included in the Paks. I also went through packages getting lost and being delivered late when the USPS was in their problem period. I had to rely on my many years of customer service training to navigate these issues and keep my customers satisfied. Many of my coaching clients have started as vision board workshop attendees.

Some days are harder than others. On those hard days, I use my personal vision boards to motivate me and hold me accountable for the dreams and vision I have for myself and my business. There were weeks when I didn’t have any sales or any clients, but I learned to use these moments to learn more about my craft which in turn has allowed me to expand my services. and my business.

Hidden Gems Consulting is a firm that specializes in vision, purpose, and dreams. We offer a space for our clients to dream as big as they can. Then we help them put a plan and strategy in place to achieve those dreams.

I am known as a coach and a cheerleader. As my clients walk toward their purpose, I am on the sidelines cheering them on or in their ear reminding them of the plays.

We offer services like vision board workshops and parties. We also do Online party/conference planning. I am a Certified Life Coach so we offer an 8-week coaching program that can help change your perspective and habits so your personal and business life can flourish.

We recently added website design to our services. We are still growing and learning so as we expand, so will our services.

The Purpose Pak (Vision Board Kit) is what I’m most proud of as far as our products. We include stickers, affirmations, and printed board cutouts.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a shy kid. I was an introvert. My sister would tell you that I was, and still am bossy. I realized once I grew up, I simply had great leadership skills.
