Today we’d like to introduce you to Aiden & Asher Childs.
Hi Aiden & Asher, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Our mom had a dream back in December with us in it. Then a week later she had another dream so she said: “okay God we gone this”. Our mom asked if we had a clothing line what would you want it to say. “Mommy what we say everyday our affirmations”. As we put the affirmations together, the acronyms stood for HIS. (Handsome/Handmade, Intelligent, and Smart). We did most of the groundwork. And being that it’s our business, We wanted to do everything. So we picked the logo, tried on shirts from different companies to see which one we liked, and came up with design.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been easy and we had little bumps in the road but we are grateful for those bumps. We had a couple of issues with some of the clothing companies and trying to find other options.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
As the co founder to HIS Inspirational Kids Clothing Line I have business called It’s A Child’s World which is my nonprofit organization that encourages, motivates, and support moms across the country. It provides resources, parenting programs, and material items to help foster a healthy lifestyle.
It is our goal to build and uplift mothers everywhere by pouring into them how important they are, building their confidence, working on their self-identity, and self-care regardless of race and ethnicity.
I’m proud of the things we were able to accomplish (we did a MommyThon where we were able to provide Free clothes, cribs, strollers, car seats, toys, etc. to 100 mothers across the CSRA)
I want readers to remember It’s A Child’s World will be an empire where we will offer different services such as group coaching, one on one coaching, and soon doula services.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see us doing great things such as having a warehouse for the clothing line. Also, having an office space to serve and give back to mothers around the community (giveaway clothes, shoes, and baby items).
