Inspiring Conversations with Ajsha Bell of Bells of Love Decor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ajsha Bell.

Hi Ajsha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m 29 years old. I grew up in a small town called Gay, Ga. I have been married for 8yrs and have two beautiful daughters, Addison and Riley. The family I created means everything to me.

I got into event decor just playing around at home and decorating events for family members and friends. I never thought I would start a business because I never believed in myself or had the confidence to do so. After years of family and friends pushing me and encouraging me, I just went for it.

I kept telling myself I need to set an example for my kids. I always tell them to believe in themselves but I wasn’t believing in myself. The crazy thing is, I have a tattoo that says believe. My husband has been my number one supporter, helping me at all my events. He is truly a blessing.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I started my business during the pandemic. I launched the business on my birthday April 9, 2020. I was so nervous, but for once I believed in myself and just went for it. It started off shaky. I didn’t get my first booking until June. After that everything else fell in line and I have been doing great ever since. I’m so grateful for all the love and support I’ve received, especially from strangers.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is an event decor business. I specialize in balloon decors such as balloon garlands, balloon arch, balloon columns, and etc. I do my work with love. The smallest details in a setup can brighten someone’s day if you just listen to them. I offer full decor setup as well.

What would you tell someone trying to start a business and looking for advice?
I would tell the person BELIEVE in yourself. You have to believe in whatever you are trying to sell to your clients. If you don’t believe in it then who will. Keep putting yourself and merchandise out there. Social media is so important these days. I’ve gotten a lot of business from people just sharing my work. One customer and turn into a hundred overnight. Never give up on your dreams.
