Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Fulton.
Tim, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Introducing Tim Fulton
Grew up in Miami Fla.
Attended college in New Orleans at Tulane University where he earned an undergraduate degree in Economics and a 5 year MBA.
Tim owned and operated several small retail businesses in Miami. He also taught as an adjunct professor and served as the interim Director of the Family Business Institute at Florida International University.
After moving to Atlanta, Tim was a co-founder of an internet software company that was a INC 500 company and then sold to a Fortune 1000 company.
In 1992, he started his own small business consulting firm Small Business Matters.
Tim was a Vistage Chair for 16 years, retired from Vistage in December 2018, and currently enjoys Chair Emeritus status.
In 2008, he developed the GrowSmart training program for the state of Georgia and has trained over 3000 small business owners in 15 different states.
Tim has an award-winning Small Business Matters newsletter, he has self-published three different books including most recently the book titled “The Meeting”, and co-hosts a popular podcast for small business leaders. For six years, Tim has hosted one of the largest annual events in Atlanta for small business owners.
He has been married to his college sweetheart Remy for 39 years, has two grown sons, and is an avid tennis player. Tim has walked the entire 500 mile El Camino Santiago in Spain on two different occasions and just recently walked the 400 mile Camino Portuguese.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
