Today we’d like to introduce you to Robbie Howard.
Hi Robbie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Sea Moss by RJ is a family run and operated business. RJ is my husband and I handsome son. I was raised in a Caribbean household in Baltimore, MD but currently reside in Atlanta, GA. We started our sea moss journey by wanting to help alleviate RJ’s asthma symptoms such as wheezing and mucus build-up. When I started giving him sea moss gel he no longer had asthma flairs. As a result of consuming sea moss daily, RJ no longer needed to use his inhaler and his eczema started to clear up. I also started to use sea moss to aid in my weightless journey after suffering from pre-eclampsia. It helped boost my metabolism, increase my energy and was great for my post-workout recovery. After seeing how sea moss changed our lives, we knew we had to share the benefits of sea moss with others. Then boom, Sea Moss by RJ was created. It was just too good to keep a secret. Sea Moss by RJ is wildcrafted from St. Lucia, Jamaica. Sea moss has abundant benefits that include boosting immunity during cold and flu season and is rich in Vitamin C, amino acids and antioxidants.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We definitely faced challenges in the beginning, but it prepared us for the journey to success. Our main struggle included shipping during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. We offer 1-2 day shipping. However, because of the pandemic, there were delays with our targeted delivery times. We overcame this challenge by utilizing multiple shipping carriers.

My background is in professional School Counseling. I advocate and collaborate with school stakeholders to promote equity and access to academic, social and emotional learning for all students. I am most proud of the lives I have impacted through health and education.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Everyone is deserving of good health. On the weekends we have partnered up local farmers market to sell our Sea Moss products and connect with the community. We also ship our products within the United States. We service customers from Alaska to Maine. We want to ensure we expose health and wellness for all communities by providing premium products and top tier customer service.
