Today we’d like to introduce you to Erick Anderson.
Erick , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi I’m Erick Anderson First thanks for taking the time for me to tell my story. First and foremost I’m a man of God, I’m a Husband to my beautiful wife Chenelle , a father of 5 Nariyah, Alexx, Jordyn, Maya and my baby Boy Eliyahs his expected arrival date is on Christmas Day this year. I was born in Cleveland,OH and raised in Cleveland Heights,OH I have one sister Tiffany and was brung up by my parents John and Holly I spent a lot of time with my grandparents I was really into football in my youth but that came to a haunt when I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease and couldn’t play anymore so like most young African American boys in America I got into the street life and had plenty of close calls of almost losing my life and my freedom that’s when I decided I needed some change I came to Atlanta in 2012 I originally came to visit my kids and just never went back lol but it was the best decision I ever made it was for the better the opportunities to transition from the lifestyle is I was living and most importantly to be close to my kids God knew this way where I needed to be. When I first moved here I worked a few jobs in banking and the nightlife which opened my eyes to the entrepreneurial side of myself. I always knew my purpose in life was not to work a 9-5 for the rest of my so I found something I felt passionate about which was cutting hair and perused my barber career for 6yrs then I got sick again and had to have surgery and while I was laid up in the hospital I thought to myself what is something I can do if I can’t cut hair anymore something I can teach my kids and the black community and something everyone including myself would like and financial literacy came to mind everybody loves some money so I started my Consulting Company New Life Consulting Group LLC which focuses on two areas one is Business Formations and Business Credit to create generational wealth in my home and the black community and the other area is Personal Credit and Financial Literacy I worked in the banking industry in Cleveland for a while and my Grandmother had me into stocks and banking since she was a bank branch manager for 20yrs and the first black woman in Cleveland OH to become a bank branch manager. So for the past 2yrs that has been my main focus and this past summer I started a French Bulldog Kennel Peach State Frenchies LLC with my daughter Jordyn she loves dogs and I see the potential the dog breeding game has so it was a no brainer to invest and learn the game now I’m one best upcoming breeders in Atlanta, GA
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course not with a chronic stomach disease, curveballs life throws at you, losing money on investments, and this pandemic was really a wake up in all aspects
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about New Life Consulting Group LLC /Peach State Frenchies LLC?
With my consulting what my main focus is teaching the black community about personal credit and forming a business the correct way to form and build business credit as well my main target market is the black community we have the ability to control the market on any level but most of us lack financial literacy and it’s not taught in most households how my important your credit is and also the importance of creating generational wealth within our homes and it’s definitely not taught in school the whole kick your kid out when they turn 18 is a big thing that isn’t practiced in other racial communities and it forces black children to figure life out at such a young age. That’s what sets me apart from other companies in my field. With my French Bulldog Kennel I’m fresh in the game but I have to mentors that’s been in the game for 20yrs and have coached me in setting up my foundation very solid and that’s what’s going to set me apart from other breeders in Atlanta is the structure of the dogs I’m bringing to Atlanta I feel most breeders here are chasing color (DNA) and not structure and also the rates I will be charging are affordable not just catering to high end clients and serious breeders but also the average working-class person/family but to help the next up upcoming breeder.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I played sports like football and baseball or any sport me and my friends liked playing that day but my main sport was football and I was good at it. I was also into bikes the BMX ones having a Dyno bike having a Lamborghini lol I always been into hiP hip and the whole culture of it clothes and shoes was a big thing in my neighborhood and high at Cleveland Heights High School was like a fashion show daily anybody that knows about Cleveland OH will tell you “Heights” is the fly part of the city kinda reminds you of Harlem in NYC. Hip Hop music had a heavy influence on my adolescent years (Roc a Fella,Ruff Ryders, Cash Money, Death Row,3-6 Mafia, Dipset and UGK) I loved all the coasts of music and I loved chasing them girls lol but I just loved being with my friends most of them I’m still friends with till this day I consider them my brothers.
