Hi Nyechi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My complete first name is Onyinyechi, which means “The gift of God” in Igbo. Yes, NIGERIAN🇳🇬. And when I am completely immersed in something, that’s what I am, gifted in everything I set my mind to. I was born to be creative, but a type of creativity centered in motivating, cheerleading, and building up others. That’s the passion for me. I did it all through college with classmates and friends, then professionally when I became the CEO of my own public relations agency. I knew in this capacity, I could help others be seen for the talented individuals they are, work in a space that offers me the freedom to authentically create greatness with them, and build positively on their reputations. But in addition to publicizing, I help people recognize their inner creative self and am completely committed in helping people realize their potentiality. Seeing others be successful from genuine support is everything for me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth? It stays hella bumpy on this ride! However, for every bump that knocked me out of place, there was a bump knocking me right back on track. To be transparent, I have high functioning anxiety and I get anxious AF at times. So it’s facts to say I am my own struggle when it comes to this journey. Thank God for coping skills and therapy because they have made all the difference in how I react to the challenges on this road and how I move forward into success, healthily.

Of course I can! I am the CEO and Principal Publicist of Wisdom Like Honey PR, a professional and proudly reliable public relations led agency, dedicated to providing clear, authentic and consistent value to public relations goals, for favorable results. I specialize in mental wellness, lifestyle and non-profit organizations. I dabble in other services surrounding creative coaching and virtual assistance to clients remotely.
I am also the Creative behind Sneaker Ball Lex: A KOTD Affair in Lexington, KY. This event is a black-tie finery, sneaker culture, and style fundraising opportunity to pour back into local minority-owned, advocacy organizations. It’s also meant to help change the lack of diverse cultural events in the city for young professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives. This event is a HUGE deal to me, has been a thought for years, but born in the pandemic year of 2020. I’m still in awe of how everything came together.
I won’t forget to tell you that I am also a working board member for Strengthening Transformations Inc., a nonprofit organization that advocates, mentors, and educates women and girls through workshops and community partnerships. We believe that empowerment is the key to breaking generational cycles and strengthening foundations. I am the Public Relations Coordinator and Vice President of this amazing organization, and can’t wait to see how it grows and helps people in our community.
Goodness. To be honest, had I been asked this 5 years ago, I wouldn’t really know what to say! But now, I have so many proud moments, and a few things I am known for. All of them are possible because of God, my authenticity, and great support from even greater people. I have my hands in several other projects also, and you should keep up with me to find those out in 2022.

Readers, I like to tell people this—never be afraid to start something for yourself that brings purpose to your life, even if it means you have to develop yourself in ways you’re not accustomed to. Life is seasons of change, cycles of withering and growing, but a beautiful bloom every time. Oh and again, keep up with me in 2022!
