Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Lee-Anderson.
Hi Tracy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Tracy Lee-Anderson and I am authentically, ME. I am a mother of two and CEO of my Legacy. A content creator by profession , a woman of God in everyday life.
In 2014, I started working at a magazine publication as an EA. Part of my duties were attending events, planning networking events for potential or current advertisers, and overseeing their social media platform. I quickly realized how powerful a tool social media was, and that I was so much more than an EA.
I started providing social media services to family, friends, non-profits, anyone with a business that asked. A sure sign of someone loves what they do, when they do it for free.
I realized I had not only a passion for content creation, but it came so easy for me. In 2016, I gained my first client, and never looked back.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As a consultant, contracts are key, and a clearly defined one is king. I URGE every freelancer, entrepreneur, or independent contractor to have an ACTUAL attorney draft your agreements. Nothing worse than having to sue a client other than having your case dismissed or thrown out due to a judge deeming your agreement
enforceable.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator. I am a visual story teller. I tell the story through visuals, words, videos and images.
I have a passion for connecting people to what matters by creating engaging and eye-catching content. It’s my “thing,” I love what I do.
For me, I couldn’t allow obstacles or outside influences dictate where I was heading. I My motto – Do what brings you joy, don’t worry about the money, it’ll come.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I am a Pittsburgh woman through and through. We are resilient, motivators, care givers, independent, strong, well rounded and driven. We see what we want and go after it. I was raised by a strong single mother who made sure we wanted for nothing. It takes a village, but she always made sure we were exposed to every aspect of life.
My fondest memory was driving to New York from Pittsburgh with my family to visit our Aunt and experience Broadway.
We saw “Dream Girls” and an Off-Broadway play called “Momma I Wanna Sing” starring Desiree Coleman, now Desiree Coleman-Jackson; changed my life.
