Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Segal.
Sarah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In April of 2002, I adopted a beagle, Boomer. I was taking him to 2 other dog daycares in Buckhead (Atlanta). Neither facility was up to my expectations as a pet parent. I decided to open up my own dog daycare, cage free boarding, bathing & grooming business. We also host birthday parties for dogs. I found a place for rent directly.
Across from the Atlanta Humane Society is west midtown which coincidentally was where I adopted my beagle who was 1 year old at the time of adoption. I had it converted into what has been the Atlanta Dog Spa for the past 16 years.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Atlanta Dog Spa – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Atlanta Dog Spa is a full service dog care facility specializing in cage free daycare, boarding, bathing, grooming, and birthday parties.
What sets us apart from our competitors is that we have Natural grass, separate play rooms & yards for different size dogs & temperaments.
We also have TVs in each of the indoor play rooms for our canine clients to enjoy while resting from playing outdoors to rainy day movie time.
Furthermore, we offer Open Boarding for those dogs that do not do well in a traditionally enclosed kennel. Many of our clients sleep in an open room on a couch or bedding we provide.
We also have 16 doggie cams with an app that our clients can log on & view their dog from anywhere in the world that has internet connection. Many cameras are infrared. This gives peace of mind to clients who are at work, or who are traveling the ability to check in on their beloved fur baby.
Atlanta Dog Spa is a Homestyle environment where most of our clients feel like extended family. It is truly a Labor of Love.
