Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmanuella Chartol.
Hi Emmanuella, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Of course! I started being a model when I was in Paris (I lived 11 years out there) I started building my portfolio meanwhile I was working as an agent station. At that time, I was very shy transparent so I used modeling as a therapy first. Once I built my self confidence I traveled for the 1st time in the US.
1st stop NEW YORK! I’ve been in love with the city & opportunities people gave me &made me feel I can do something about it. From there I realized this is the life I want to live. So I quitted my job to be focus on my dream. I started traveling back & forth (France to US) went back to NY, then Miami,
In 2015 I’ve been in contact with TNZ agency from Atlanta. I signed a contract with the agency & I decided to go there & stayed 2 month. I started doing Videoshoot, working with dope photographers. Unfortunately, I had to leave the states but 2 years after I decided to leave everything to leave my dream in full time in Atlanta & be a model on freelance.
The dream started, I’ve been working with major artists: Future, dvsn, Lil Durk, K Camp, Lil Baby, Money Bag Yo, Davido, Gunna, Dexta Daps. I signed a contract for 3 years with Creme of nature in 2019 for their new campaign. I’ve been ambassadors for Wynter Rose, Ondibuhair. The same year, I started being a casting director, booking models in Atlanta cause my son was born so I was not totally free to do any video shoot. I had the opportunity to work with Baddie Castings as a casting, by the way, I want to say thank you to Nikki (CEO). I learned a lot from her. She has been a great mentor & also Iman cause she really gave me the green light to started my new business Leezycast.
God blessed me (still) with so much opportunities. It’s an amazing feeling to love the life you prayed for & work with people who value your business.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Yes & no. The modeling industry is full of beautiful models. So I had to stand out myself cause when you from another country nobody knows who you are & it’s a real challenge.
I had to promote myself as a model, started going out (clubs, events) , woke up everyday to make sure I was booked because I took the risk to live In full time my dream. I had no days off. The struggle has been real at the beginning but all work I’ve been doing paid off. So yeah you have to be strong mentally.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Leezycast is my business as casting director. I’m the CEO & my own employee (lol), I started in 2019.
I book models, actors in Atlanta, Miami, NY, LA for my clients for Videoshoot, commercials, events.
I just started renting luxury cars to give the different services/options I can to my clients.
I’m known for my “quality”, my spontaneity making sure my clients got what they request at last minute. It happens often lol but I always make things happen. It’s a real challenge & I love it.
By the way, that was my best gig & I m very proud of it. I booked a model as the main role for a future Videoshoot in Miami. Thanks to Jessica Wong for her availability!
Also, I m offering my modeling class to models who don’t know how to start in the industry. Being a model has been really helpful, an experience I can share & teach to new beginners, how to be successful giving them the best connection. This class is virtual for 1 hour & I really take my time to help & alarm them the industry is not easy.
Any big plans?
Unfortunately, I can’t give any details about my future plans. I’m working hard to finalize my dream no matter how long it will take. I pray everyday, God is in control. So once I get it, I will be happy to share it y’all guys. 😬I’m so excited.
