Today we’d like to introduce you to Asia Reid.
Hi Asia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I always had an interest in marketing especially with me having a sports background, I had the experience to travel all around the world to meet different people and also adapt to different cultures, etc. I learned the skillset to build relationships and to network to create ownership within self to maintain those relationships. Once covid happened, of course, I lost my current 9-5 to where I had time to really think about my next chapter in my career, not only that i chose to hang up the basketball shoes and take my career more serious. I had to get focused. It always was a “entrepreneurialship” mindset at heart. Just wanted to put myself in a self sufficient and self driven way to build my own empire. However, I started with a marketing agency last December (2020) to where I became an assistant director within 6 months of the Business management program.
Within those 6 months, I literally was able to build multiple leaders within the company to where I was able to duplicate myself to others with building great entrepreneur working habits. As of September 2021, I am officially a business owner of my own marketing firm managing at least 30+ reps and giving them all the tools they will need to utilize the next chapter in their career within my business for growth, opportunity, and advancement. I want to put people in a position to WIN financially and to take on clients to help their business grow.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The marketing field is a Hustle. It takes sacrifice, dedication, and determination to get to the finish line. It most definitely was a struggle along the way but those struggles set you up for success. It literally helps you mentally and physically. With being in the direct marketing field you talk to 100s of people a day. Some are nice, some are mean and rude, and some will just flat out tell you NO to them seeing the product you are promoting face to face. Of course, that will just build confidence along the way and just getting you uncomfortable to get comfortable within the business. It’s all about getting 1% better each day and having that student mentally to advance and always be open-minded to learn each day.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was of course DisneyWorld. I still remember going on the “back to the future” ride and I want to go back just so I can embrace those memories. And embrace it to where my future is now. Which is set up for success. So of course I can relate to those rides now.
