Today we’d like to introduce you to Lachun S.
Lachun, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born in Chicago and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since I was a little girl I grew up doing my hair, my dolls’ hair, and my peer’s hair. When I got older. I chose not to attend college because my passion was with the beauty industry. So after leaving high school I enrolled in Aveda institute and I graduated in 2015. The rest was history after that year.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never been a smooth road for me. Once I graduated hair school. It was so hard to find a stable salon to work into without having to pay rent for a chair. I didn’t have many clients, but I did have ambition. So I continued to search and one of the salons that have really helped my skills was a salon located in Walmart. It was really a good experience for me because I had the opportunity to work and get paid hourly plus And build my client.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a luxury hair extensions specialist and I specialize in extensions for Texture hair clients while catering to the natural hair underneath the extensions.
I am a salon suite owner and I am a product developer For Lachuns beauty collection.
Not only do I provide Luxuryhairextensions but I also provide good customer service, good communication, product knowledge, and what sets me apart is that I’m very passionate about what I do.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
During the COVID-19 crisis, I have learned that it takes multiple streams of income, as well as sometimes it’s better to stop and reflect because Before the pandemic everybody was on go.
