Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Gresham.
Hi Kim, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I became interested in makeup in 7th grade when I joined the dance team. We had to wear eyeshadow to enhance our looks when we performed. When I seen how we looked with our eyeshadow and eyeliner I was immediately intrigued. I then started researching and was able to find videos on YouTube. I taught myself how to do my own makeup from YouTube videos. By my 9th grade year I had a routine for an everyday full face.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It wasn’t always a smooth road. My makeup used to look so bad lol I watched sooo many videos to find the look I wanted. My eyebrows used to be terrible but once I got a routine down and found the products that worked for me, My eyebrows were always on fleek.

I am currently a certified and licensed cosmetologist. I specialize in makeup artistry. My business is called Kimistry. I offer full faces in soft and full glam. I’m most proud of my ability to recreate the look that my clients bring me pictures of. I believe what sets me apart from others is my willingness to try new things and being able to give satisfactory results.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
The best thing about Atlanta to me is there is always work no matter what you do. Somebody is looking for your exact skill level and talents. My least favorite thing about this city is our traffic. Since I’m a traveling MUA I have to always be early/on time and with traffic, I have to give myself ample traveling allowance
