Meet Tuesday Tillis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tuesday Tillis.

Hi Tuesday, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi my name is Tuesday Ray and I am a model born and raised from Phoenix, Arizona. I have been modeling for 5 years and I am so proud of my progress I have made over the years. I always knew I wanted to model but was always on edge when it comes to modeling. On one side it is my dream but on other side my dad always told it was a dangerous industry.

When I turned 21, I never really went to clubs but as a couple of years passed of course that changed. That ended up putting me right in the middle of club promoters who needed beautiful young ladies to promote the club events. I ended up accepting their offer and from there my career was created. The first time I actually saw myself after doing a photoshoot my mind was made up.

Fast-forward 5 years later I am proud to say I have traveled from Arizona to Atlanta over the years doing fashion shows and building connections in the modeling industry. I have been published over 20 times in magazines all over the USA and on the cover several times. I got to this point because I never gave up. Someone told me to promote myself even when you think no one is looking. You never know who is looking for that next fresh face.

Tips I would love to give other models who maybe are just getting started or feeling discouraged. Do not be afraid to contact the people you wanna work with. Putting yourself out there only can end in greatness. Also there has been times where a magazine tells me no then a month later, I come with fresh new content and I get accepted. Never give up on what you want because only you can stand in your way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, I have had several different hurtles to overcome. When I first started modeling, I was small then over time traveling to Atlanta and eating good lol. Well, let’s say I was moved to the BBW category. Which I know everyone will read this confused as I was. For some time, I struggled because honestly, I was small or bbw or fit. Going to casting calls was hard because if they needs small models I was never small enough then with bbw auditions I was never bbw to them.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a versatile model and I don’t like to be categorized to any specific lane. I love all types of modeling from lingerie to anime. I Have modeled as a body paint model before and also have done formal gowns. I like to be an asset to me can do everything required within that role.

Although I like to try everything I am most known for my lingerie photoshoots and fashion shows. My biggest and proudest moment is currently happening. I am nominated for a SMA model of the year and I actually find out if I win any day now. And I believe I will win because my determination and personality stands out. I feel that sets me apart from other models on top of my drive to push myself harder and harder each project.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5 years I plan on being known all over the TV and modeling industry. I go on my first international fashion week this year and I’m not gonna waste these opportunities. I want to be on Billboard’s across the world and I want to be able to quite my day job and do what I love 24/7.
