Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Guard.
Hi Adam, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey has been quite long, or at least it feels that way. I have always been a Dreamer. My whole childhood was based on getting to the NFL. Long story short, I got real close. I fought my way to D1 only to be disappointed by football politics and the system as many have been. I knew I was meant for more however and this is when the “Dreamer” dream began to grow. I had so many ambitions and they all pointed toward helping people like me who had big dreams, believe it was possible. I ended up playing 3 years at a D3 school and finishing my education to become a teacher. I thought maybe that was my path to reach the youth, I was wrong. Don’t get me wrong, I love teaching, but being a teacher wasn’t for me. I have a tremendous respect for teachers and their dedication to their craft, which is why I knew after my first day of school I had to leave. I was searching for fire. I had the opportunity to then move to Atlanta to work with a company that flips houses. Fire lit. I loved it, the freedom and the challenges were exactly what I needed. The biggest thing was, the harder you work the more you win. That is my type of arena. Since then I have started 4 companies. One obviously a Real Estate Investment Group, another a social media marketing agency, and another a cigar business, the last being the parent company to them all. The cigar business came about because I grew a following of just under 100k in about 6 months educating my followers on cigars. This is just the beginning though. The end goal for this Dreamer is to start a Dreamer Empire to help everyone realize that they can accomplish whatever they desire, while still making a great money, and most of all are happier than they ever believed possible.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Well, I think that I explained a lot of these struggles in the previous question but really the hardest was to move on from football. To be honest, it still haunts me, failing to achieve my dream. I get it, a lot of people would say no you didn’t fail it was just bad luck or some other excuse but no. I lost. I didn’t make it. That’s the reality and that is the reality that I want to live with. why? Because it drives me. I am in control of my future, not any system. This is exactly what I want my fellow Dreamers to believe. Win or Lose, Succeed or Fail it has to be your fault. If you blame others or other things for your failures then you have to blame them for your success as well. My family and future wife Teresa have helped me more than anything. Teresa was actually the one that pushed me to put myself out there and start my first podcast. Ever since we met, I have never looked back due to her endless support. I believe it is crucial to have people around you that may not understand your dreams, but encourage them anyways.
As you know, we’re big fans of Dreamer National. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
What you need to know about Dreamer National is that it encompasses a lot of different things. The current companies under its umbrella are Dreamer Marketing, Dreamer Cigars, and Dreamer Capital Group. Future plans include Dreamer Community, Dreamer Fitness, and some version of a Dreamer Charity yet to be determined. What sets us apart from others is that money is not the goal. I started all of this because I don’t want any child to limit themselves. I mean imagine a world where every child chases their dreams with certainty that it is possible… Most will not end u where they want to be, just like me, but all will be happy knowing they gave it a shot. I want people to know that we are always looking for more ideas and willing to listen. Please send me an email, text, DM, whatever I love hearing how people want to make a change. As far as what we offer, most of that is in the future. All of these companies are young, barely established entities. But as you can guess by now I have big dreams for all of them haha
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor is simple but far from easy. Go out there and GIVE GIVE GIVE. Unselfishness is the biggest key. If you want someone to help you change your life, figure out a way to change theirs first.
