Today we’d like to introduce you to Joel Botero.
Hi Joel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born in Queens, NY, and I come from a Colombian immigrant family. Being a child of immigrant parents made me who I am today. I was blessed enough to experience two different sides of the world growing up. See back in Colombia, there weren’t many financial opportunities available for you to progress and make a living, which is why my family and I assimilated here in the United States. Seeing my parents work hard at such a young age motivated me to work even harder. My hustle started with me in high school when I used to sell snacks out of my bookbag. After that, I went on to college studied economics and became obsessed with data analytics. Next thing you know, I am a first-generation college graduate in my family. As I begun my professional career, I started working for AT&T and developed an extensive knowledge in tech sales. In the midst of me working there, I started my first clothing business with my brother. Once I noticed I was good at sales and had an entrepreneurial spirit, I decided to take my sales skills to a different level and began my Real Estate journey. My Real Estate passion began when I used to see my dad create many DIY home improvement projects at an early age. Fast forward to now, I started my investing journey and present to you my business J.Botero Realty Group. In addition to my Real Estate business, my girlfriend and I are starting an online boutique coming 2022.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not even close! Between going to college and working full time, that was a rough time. Not knowing how to even start a business, because you’re just worried about the legalities or just even making a mistake and overthinking the process. All these things play a part in your mental, but like they say these struggles either make you or break you.

J.Botero Realty Group is a real estate company that focuses on buying, selling, and investing property. My company will help all first-time homebuyers, sellers, and investors uncover their needs and meet their real estate goals. I will make every process/transaction as smooth as possible. Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The real estate industry is continuing to grow because there is still so much land to be developed. I believe prices of homes in Atlanta’s real estate market are still going to gradually increase because of urbanization in metro Atlanta’s areas.
