Hidden Gems: Meet Jessica Jakse and Brittany Waller of The Bluebird Wine Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Jakse and Brittany Waller. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Featured on The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Zola The Bluebird Wine Bar is a vintage pop-up bar company in Hiram, GA. This team specializes in providing bar services for weddings and special events throughout Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Guests are sure to be impressed with the sophisticated southern flare of The Bluebird mobile bar.

Jessica and Brittany had been in the service industry for almost a decade before crossing into the wedding industry. Both have an eye for design and strive to bring a unique touch to every wedding they attend. From signature cocktails to craft beer, this duo offers a wide range of delicious beverages to ensure that every guest can enjoy an unforgettable experience.

The Bluebird Wine Bar offers a number of services designed to elevate their clients’ special events. The team can serve beer, wine, Champagne, and cocktails to you and your guests throughout the duration of your event. Additionally, they offer a number of fun add-ons to their packages, including decor for the bar, polaroid cameras, a chic seating area, and customized drinkware.

So, today, we have booked several events thus far and are overly excited about our upcoming opportunities. We are connecting with our community and have joined the Empowering Women’s Committee through the Paulding Chamber of Commerce as well as the Merchants Association of Dallas. Our official ribbon cutting was on December 7th and we are preparing for our next event!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all! Haha! There have been many challenges. From renovating our mobile bar to finding out the legalities involved. We just took everything one step at a time. There was a lot of research to do in regards to special permits and licensing. We wanted to make sure we did our due diligence and we did. It took a lot of phone calls and talking to the right people, but we figured it out.

Our second biggest hurdle was the bar. I say ‘our’ but actually Craig (Brittany’s husband) renovated the trailer! He spent nights and weekends for seven months working on our bar. He completely designed and rebuilt the entire trailer on his own. What can I say, he likes a challenge and might love us a little too.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Bluebird Wine Bar is a vintage pop-up bar service. We bring our renovated horse trailer bar to weddings and special events. Marketing is done mostly in the event industry through social media, popular wedding apps, our local Chamber of Commerce, and the Dallas Merchants Association. All of which have given us great opportunities. What’s unique?? Well, who doesn’t love a mobile bar?! We will serve at almost any event! As long as there’s a level space. We offer wine slushies, beer on tap, and a variety of signature cocktails. The Bluebird wants to appeal to everyone and create a memorable experience. The bar is what is most talked about at any event and we want to impress our clients!

The Bluebird is known for its class & southern charm. We’ve introduced a unique way to serve guests at any event that will leave a lasting impression.

We want your readers to know that there are two new women in the event industry and we’re ready to show you what we can do! We’re already in talks about our next HUGE milestone that we plan to meet by the Spring!

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
We have embraced social media fully through Instagram, Facebook, & TikTok. Every day we discuss staying current and keeping our viewers up to date with what is going on with The Bluebird. We are marketing & networking in every possible way. Our most exciting connection started with the Paulding Chamber of Commerce and from there, we have joined the Merchant’s Association of Dallas. They have opened so many doors for us already and continue to support us in any way they can. We also joined the Empowering Women’s Committee and are ready to serve and support other women in our area with those beautiful ladies. Most recently, we have been featured on The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Zola.
