Today we’d like to introduce you to Elise Howard.
Elise, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a wife and mother of two. I was born in Michigan and my parents moved to Atlanta, GA shortly after so I consider Atlanta home. I’ve been an entrepreneur since around the age of 19/20. I started out working a typical 9 to5 but quickly realized that wasn’t the path for me leading me to pursuit entrepreneurship as a Hairstylist. I’ve been in the industry for over 15 yrs working under the name SimplyTalentedElise. Throughout those years, I still found myself wanting to fulfill my childhood dream of being a real estate agent. I acquired my license as a real estate agent currently operating as Your Home Girl Elise powered by eXp. I’m personally committed to helping as many people as possible achieve their goal of ownership. I believe by helping people along my journey, this will allow me to fulfill my God giving purpose! Though past few years has brought many challenges due to the pandemic, I’ve been fortunate enough to help multiple families and I look forward to continuing down the path of helping others all while achieving my own goals.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I must say that Real Estate has been the most challenging venture that I have ever taking on. It was a whole new world and I personally had to dedicate time and effort out of my day to focus on real estate 3 to 4 hours daily. In addition, it was tough as my daughter had major back surgery the week before I started class and to add insult to injury on my 2nd night of class someone speeding turned right in from of me and totaled my car. I can definitely say I had many obstacles before seeing the finish line, but use my story as motivation to stay the course we can do anything we put our minds too.

As a Real estate agent, I help guide clients through the process of buying and selling of properties. Provide guidance and assist sellers and buyers in marketing and purchasing property for the right price under the best terms.
Determine clients’ needs and financial abilities to propose solutions that suit them.
Intermediate negotiation processes, consult clients on market conditions, prices, mortgages, legal requirements and related matters, ensuring a fair and honest dealing.
Perform comparative market analysis to estimate properties’ value.
Display and market real property to possible buyers.
Prepare necessary paperwork (contracts, leases, deeds, closing statements, etc.).
Maintain and update listings of available properties.
Cooperate with appraisers, escrow companies, lenders and home inspectors.
Develop networks and cooperate with attorneys, mortgage lenders and contractors.
Promote sales through advertisements, open houses and listing services and remain knowledgeable.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I loved being outside for hours at a time. I was a very outgoing kid.
