Daily Inspiration: Meet Rey Sunshine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rey Sunshine.

Hi Rey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Being an entertainer from age of 9 to now a 14 years old teenager, I have always had goals of owning my own business. Over the years, my mother has guided me with several Entrepreneurial opportunities from a clothing line to having a podcast. To date, I feel one of my biggest accomplishments has been opening my own studio. Elements Studios in Marietta is a dream come true. I wanted a place where I could be in my element hence the name Elements Studios. Elements Studios encompasses everything about who I am and what I do. Because I sing, dance, act, model, rap, and choreograph. I wanted a space where young children and teens could come to and have fun while training.

We have vocal training, acting classes, dance classes, photoshoots, and events, I decided to take my experience and some of my training to help others that have the same desire as myself in the entertainment business.

So far, it has been a great experience, but a lot of hard work is evolved with being a business owner, as well as an entertainer. I took a step back from the entertainment world in 2021 to grow my business and evolve in Elements Studios. Now that in the short span of 6 months in business now I am getting back on my grind in the entertainment world.

I have so many plans for my music in 2022. I am a different person from the little girl I was at the beginning of my music career to now about to be a 15 years old in February.

Keep on the lookout for what I have in store hold on tight and be ready because I been silently working towards my goals.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Anything worth having is a struggle but in the end, when you smooth things out you tend to forget about the struggle and tend to focus on the good. All kinds of challenges come my way from having an event at my studio to having to be in a meeting or on stage at the same time. But that is where I learned to be organized and manage other people to be in my position when I am not available to be at my place of business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am business owner of Elements Studios. I specialize in singing, dancing, rapping, songwriter, choreographer, acting and modeling. I am known for my rapping more than anything else. But my heart and love is singing. I am most proud of the accomplishments that I have made as a 14-year-old growing into myself as a business owner and as a person. What sets me apart from others is ethics, style, class, and my grind. You may not always see and no need to all the time but best believe I am always grinding and cooking up something.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I learned is how to deal with people. Everyone around is not always there for the right reason. The hardest thing for me as a 14 yr old is learning how some adults are mainly the ones that I looked up to. I realize that just because you are an adult doesn’t mean your intentions are good or your heart is good. No one is perfect but these adults sometimes I just wonder why. But the saying she get it from her momma is so true.
