Hi Terry, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to Atlanta, GA. In the early 2000s with a deep passion and desire to pursue my music career. Throughout my journey, I met and had an opportunity to work with some amazing people as an artist. As reality started to take a toll in life, I pursued a career in sales which lead from entry-level telemarketing role to a Vice Present for a 100 million per year company. My experience in the corporate world created the foundation of what running a business was all about and I am so grateful because it help fill my void of being a college dropout. I learned how to be professional, I learned how to speak to large audiences. Learned how to created and present PowerPoint documents, I learned how to infuse a sales culture, and most importantly, I learned how to work with people from all walks of life. Although making six figures per year and traveling the world was an experience like no other, it was always this burning fire within me to make it in the entertainment world.
After living in California and Miami, FL for a combined four years, I returned back to Atlanta and started a career as a club promoter and event coordinator. This opportunity put me in a position to work with artists, DJs, producers, and many other individuals in the entertainment world. With hard work and dedication, I built a decent name and brand for myself with in the city and always connected people with opportunities that lead to the name “Terrytheglue”. God then blessed me with an amazing opportunity to be an A&R and the Director of artist development for Tha Lights Global. This is the same label who has a great deal of success in the music business. To date, I am working with artists across the country helping educate and facilitate their music careers bye empowering their knowledge and understanding of the music business. In closing, they say you live once but within this one life, you can live out multiple dreams, meet different people in different times in life that lead to your true purpose. I know am a Co-Owner of the TLG academy, where our number #1 goal is to provide artists, producers, writers, A&R’s, managers the right tools, resources, and information to be successful in the Music business.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Life is a struggle itself on many levels but to narrow down specifically, I will say adapting to your environment and current place in life. The biggest challenge has always been balanced. Balance between fatherhood, balance between having a healthy relationship with my significant other, balance to be a leader of 100s of employees, balance to be spiritually aligned with God by having faith, and most important balance to create ways to improve self-love for myself. Every successful person has to deal with so much inside to get there but unfortunately people only see the greatness in success and not what’s endured and sacrificed to get there.

I crest a personal language with every individual I encounter in the workforce to help them reach their full potential.
I am most proud of once being the Undadawg and being able to continue to read create my brand until it really became something that people in the city of Atlanta respect and pay attention too.
I want readers to know that I am passionate about helping artists, producers, and writers understand the truth about this industry and create a paradigm shift so they may pursue their careers with more strategies and less hope. I have a 0 tolerance for any and everyone creating services that take from the artist and provide no return. Life is too precious to sacrifice things to be mislead and heard at TLG academy, we live and breathe doing what write for this business each and every day.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I learned that always be prepared for change and create opportunities that doesn’t require you to be physically am hands on.
