Inspiring Conversations with Aaron Bell of Inspirational Anatomy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Bell.

Hi Aaron, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am 29 years old. I was born in Augusta, Georgia but raised north of Atlanta. I am married to my beautiful wife Kimberly Bell of four years with one child name Zahir Bell. The Idea of Inspirational Anatomy first came to fruition in early March of 2020 when the pandemic hit. Funny story: One day when I used to smoke marijuana, I was in the bedroom at our old duplex apartment playing the game and the idea just hit me lol. I ran out of the room and told my wife we are about to start a clothing line called Inspirational Anatomy! She laughed at first, then she got quiet and said that’s a pretty fire name. I’ve worked for most of my life but when the pandemic hit, it rocked our world. I wanted to make a change because everyone was going through so much in our new unknown world. For a few months, it was just an idea that lingered in our minds trying to adjust to our new world. We started brainstorming logo ideas and finalized it in August of 2020. From there, we decided that we were going to take all our extra income and go all in! We first started to educate ourselves and bought E-commerce courses from various successful businesses like Support black colleges. These courses taught us how to properly structure our business and guided us throughout the entire process. In December 2020, we purchased our LLC and website domain. It was official, Inspirational Anatomy was born!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey to creating Inspirational Anatomy was far from easy. We created our business at the beginning of a pandemic and the struggle was real. We had no idea how much it took to bring a brand to life. The process of finding professional and trustworthy wholesale vendors was very difficult. Due to the pandemic, there was a shortage of products which was very frustrating in the beginning. However, we got what was available to us and made it work. We spent tons of money upfront not knowing if we would get a return. In February of 2021, we finally decided to launch our website despite feeling unprepared and that was by far the best decision we made. We sold out most of our hoodies and all of our hats in the first drop with the support of our close friends and family. Inspirational Anatomy continued to evolve and we knew we had something going when we had our first pop-up shop in Atlanta. This was our first test to see if people liked our brand outside of our circle and needless to say, they did! We had another pop-up shop since then which was also a success! Inspirational Anatomy will continue to evolve and we will inspire the world one person at a time.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Inspirational Anatomy?
I have always been intrigued and inspired by motivating others. Motivational speaking is something that I’m very passionate about and would like to pursue someday. We wanted Inspirational Anatomy to be a lifestyle brand but not your average Lifestyle Brand. The goal is to inspire and motivate others through our brand and we decided to do that through apparel and accessories.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
We believe having a mentor to support and guide you through any new venture is necessary. Being an entrepreneur is far from easy and there will be days when you feel mentally exhausted and defeated. Having a mentor to resonate with makes all the difference because they have been where you are.
