Thanks for sharing your story with us Michelle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a licensed Esthetician and Massage Therapist and I am the sole proprietor of Lemongrass day spa since 2006. I started off at another Company in 2004 as an Esthetician and then started doing massages. I had never thought about getting in this business, it just honestly happened. Then one day I had one of my clients asked me if I had thank God for my gift and talent, I said go ahead I’m listening she said that I had a true gift from God that I need to thank him for it. After that day my life change, I realize that is what I’m supposed to be doing with my life and I never looked back.
I have been in business now for 11 years. Traveling to day spas in different cities and states played an important role in the development of the new “Lemongrass Day Spa “. I picked the name Lemongrass because of the smell of it and it is something that I can brand products. And it’s a name that men can feel like they can come and relax.
When lemongrass. First opened its doors of April 2006, I started out in a small house on Northside Drive. One half of the building was dedicated to my business and other half was a doctor’s office. Several years 2011, we moved to Summit Pointe, where we are located now.
Has it been a smooth road?
After being in business for five years, I was in an old white plantation house one side there was a doctor’s office and the other side I transformed into a day spa. The business was growing fast, I had to make a decision to stay at the same location or move to a new location so I could grow. I made the decision to move to a different location.
Branching out I bought the last Lott in Summit point. 2006 I built the new Lemongrass Day Spa, having a total of nine treatment rooms for massages, esthetics, waxing and body treatments, men’s and women’s locker rooms and two steam sauna’s, as well as a large area dedicated to retail like our award winning products.
