Conversations with Paige Denson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Denson.

Hi Paige, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a real estate professional dedicated in providing exceptional service to all of those looking to purchase or sell a home.

When growing up, I never thought of myself as a realtor. I wanted to be a nurse and that was the goal I set forth when in school. I attended four different schools in a span of three years due to being unstable financially. While in school, I was a personal trainer and working at Northside Hospital as a CNA in the mother/ baby unit full time. I would go to school from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., then work a 12 hour night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. I did personal training and instructed a workout class on the weekends. Including the time I had to study, I became incredibly sleep-deprived. Providing for myself was my main priority, so I had to drop out of school. It was not until the age of 22 until I found my love for real estate. I shadowed directly under developers that primarily constructed houses in East Atlanta near Grant Park. I fell in love with the architect of these houses and the new builds that surrounded them. Each one had their own very unique characteristics and designs. The process of the actual making of a house is not as simple or quick as HGTV makes it look but the results are sure worth the time and effort in the end! During this time, I knew I had to pick a career path and stick with it. Although I loved the developing process of homes, I wanted to directly help others in getting a home. It was no question that becoming a realtor was my calling. Being a real estate agent truly makes me happy and I sincerely enjoy what I do. It is rewarding to know I could be a part of something bigger, playing a huge role in people’s lives. I get to be a part of helping families find their forever oasis and/or help them develop generational wealth. I knew this was not going to be the easiest path for me because I needed passive income while being a beginner, full-time realtor with no clientele. This is when I became the CEO of my jewelry line, Poise Essentials, and decided to distribute ATMs. I read books on business and leadership to help further my knowledge in making these goals possible. It was not long before I put in my two weeks notice for the hospital and decided to finish out my last client at the gym.

I have been a realtor for a year now and have produced over 1 million in sales. I am now working in my second year and scheduled to produce 1 million in sales in a month. I would not be here without God and my work ethic. God is the creator of my destiny but I am the creator of my reality and in order to fulfill my purpose, I had to do what is necessary to reach my ultimate potential. That’s staying aligned with my goals, praying, and working hard in order to fulfill my dreams.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was not a smooth road, becoming a realtor is one of the most challenging things I’ve done.

I had to pass an in class final and a state exam. I remember handwriting over 400 index cards to study for the state exam.

After passing both, I joined a brokerage and this is where my faith was tested.

I read many books on how to become the best agent I could. I went door-knocking in countless neighborhoods facing rejection and gaining leads. I spent a lot of time sending DMs promoting myself on every social media platform I had. I spent a substantial amount of money just to start my real estate career because being an independent contractor means you run your own business.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a realtor, your day varies. The busiest day I’ve had so far was showing multiple homes all day, all while creating content for social media as I go. In between drives, I’m talking (hands-free) on the phone trying to keep a deal from possibly falling apart. Then after showing homes, I attended a walk-through with a client. This is just a final tour of the home being purchased to make sure everything is exactly how it was when first looking at it. I went home and spent a few hours writing contracts to submit to selling agents. Then, I ordered materials for a closing and booked videographers and photographers.

A day not as hectic would include me taking a few buyer/ seller consultations, chatting with mortgage lenders to make sure everything is still on track to close on time, possibly talking with some developers about selling their home or building a client’s home, doing more research on the Atlanta market, and business planning.

I specialize in the Atlanta Metro area and I am most proud of achieving my goal with doing over 1 million in sales my first year in real estate. What sets me apart from others is my determination in making sure I provide the finest services to my clients in any price point and making sure my clients are protected when it comes to contracts. I always educate my clients before making any decisions, providing knowledge about the market and the process pertaining to their real estate needs. Not only is it about making sure you get to the closing table safe and sound, but also about the amazing experience! People will always remember how you make them feel. It is my job to create an experience they will never forget!

What does success mean to you?
Success has no age or monetary value attached to it. I define success by doing what you love to do unapologetically. Re-create yourself as much as you want. True success is finding your purpose and living in it.
