Today we’d like to introduce you to King RJ.
Hi King RJ, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been dancing since I was a kid. I started taking dance serious when I got to high school (2010). I was performing at my school’s talent shows every year. I also started recording videos and uploading them to social media. I would get a lot of views and comments on YouTube.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not. Nothing in life is easy. It definitely took some sacrificing, hard work, and dedication. My struggles was managing to dance full time and also being a full-time college student. I couldn’t fulfill my dreams how I wanted to. It was always something holding me back, either school or work. My dream was to live off dancing. But I needed money and a education so it was hard to prioritize. That’s where the sacrifices came in.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Dancer and social media influencer. I make a lot of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube content. But I specialize in dance because that’s what I’ve been doing for the longest. I’m proud of how far I’ve came and never gave up. A lot of people my age that I used to dance with don’t dance no more so I feel like I’m the last one standing out of that community and I’m still growing. I try to be different and create my own wave and actually Influence people. I never really cared about fame and recognition.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Outgoing for sure as well as positive energy. People have to like you as a person in order for them to support you. You can’t just have a nasty attitude or be an angry person and expect people to support what you got going on. Everything starts with your personality.
