Today we’d like to introduce you to Phillip Blalock.
Hi Phillip, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
SET VISUALS How I got where It was a long process. I tried rapping back when I was 14-16 and at some point still goof around with my freestyles till this day. But at 15, I knew I wanted to be rich so I was trying to think of 100’s of ways still is till this day of what can I do to make money now but don’t require an education or any school related support.
So my first business I had in mind was a wrist band business but it dint really work out then I tried a clothing business bought everything but still dint like it not saying I never will but at that time, I didn’t. So I started looking at music videos in a different way and I started to think I can shoot music videos. So I started researching, I still can be in the entertainment industry but just behind the camera and still be where I want so after I got some of the equipment, I started with YouTube learning my equipment and hoped out into the field nothing new regular story.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Well, in the film world, it’s pay to win. So all your challenges along the way will be mostly upgrading ur equipment honestly and bringing new life to the table for clients but that’s basically always been my challenge, everyday is different new challenges, new cameramen you just gotta offer people what there not used to receiving. This is my first year and I’m still learning.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Film production. I am a director I can just about do anything except for movies but I can do from ads to party’s to music for film basically anything.
