Today we’d like to introduce you to Kay Reed.
Hi Kay, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off on YouTube about three years ago now mainly because I wanted to be an at home mom and I also didn’t enjoy the thought of working. I decided I wanted to do something that’ll come easy & natural to me so I chose to start a channel to introduce myself to the world. When I started this journey, I didn’t think I’d get where I am today just by being myself. Of course, you’ll always have as much hate as you receive love when dealing with the internet so I had to accept it for what it is and not let it make or break me. Once I started ignoring people that didn’t mean me no good, that is when my life changed for the better. I started doing EVERYTHING they said I couldn’t do and it was all by accident if you ask me because by me just living for myself, I started getting recognition everywhere out of nowhere. I went viral when I was featured on The Shade Room in the summer of 2021 and on World Star some months following along with VYB which is a Snapchat show that is based in the U.K… Accomplishing my goals is my main focus while I raise my two sons, Jayden(10) & Jordyn(8). I started out with nothing but I’m choosing to chase my dreams so that I can have it all when it’s said and done.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My son’s father and now my ex-husband left me while married with two kids when I had nothing and that made me wisen up about this world fast. I’ve had plenty of struggles I’d love to forget about but they’ve made me who I am currently today & will continue to shape me into the woman I’ll ultimately become. I’m never one to dwell on things I just take them for what they are and figure out how to move forward without falling apart because let’s be honest, no one will come to my rescue so I use the pain and trauma I’ve experienced and use it to my advantage. You’ll see me bend every once in a while but you’ll never see me break and that’s the motto I live by.

I’m still finding my niche in life so I’m in the “try it” phase. I mainly just like being me on my YouTube channel or my social networks, I’m not tied down to anything too specific right now.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I give my sons & God credit for keeping me going because without them, I would’ve been crashed. My mom is my biggest groupie lol, no but she is the best cheerleader a daughter could have and I appreciate her for that, she probably will never know how much.
