Today we’d like to introduce you to Diamond Hood.
Hi Diamond, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Diamond Rule coffee started in 2019 because I believe that serving people is a beautiful human trait. The motto for Diamond Rule Coffee is “to do unto others as someone special did unto you”! I started as a barista for top corporate companies in Atlanta, Georgia. I fell in love with making people happy in the morning and one of the ways to do that was through great customer service and coffee. I have 15 years of experience as a barista and coffee roaster with reputable references. During the pandemic, I was laid off with not much income, I had to think of a way to sustain during the trying times… I took diamond rule coffee to a new level by offering per package organic coffee and tea through e-commerce. Once I had a steady amount of customers, I bought an espresso machine where I begun delivering hot and cold beverages. This became a great source of income for me. So I stayed consisted and kept selling also delivering. My main goal is to have a coffee shop in Atlanta. I was given an opportunity to have a cart at the Underground Atlanta from September 2021-February 2022 where I have been serving and selling my own coffee brand. Gaining more experience and customers. I’m so proud of Diamond Rule Coffee as I started out as just a team member for big name companies now, I am my own big company I believe that Diamondrulecoffee will become a household name. That is my main goal. I’m excited for the future and look forward to new ventures of my company.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been tuff but worth it. Some of my struggles where capital and using my own money to sustain my business. Finding out that it’s a lot of studying and leg work done in selling organic products so I study a lot. For the most part, I have been excelling and gaining great relationships as an entrepreneur. I’m thankful for a lot of opportunities that I have been apart of. Just because someone seen my hard work and thought of me.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I believe what sets me apart from others is my skills and quality of product. I have been told that I make the best lattes my customer always say this is better than star Bucks that what they tell me, as I’m grateful for Starbucks it was one of my first companies as a barista. Also because I take my time and ensure quality and cleanliness. I take pride in my company and treat everyone with kindness and respect. I’m a rocket of positive vibes and I lead with this attitude.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck I believe in great karma so far as being lucky sure I always get back what I put into the world. I set out to be positive. I have a peaceful mind frame I treat others with kindness and respect. I’m deserve everything I obtain which has been nothing but success.
