Daily Inspiration: Meet Anna Ragland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Ragland.

Hi Anna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started having a passion for the beauty industry as young as six years old. I remember watching my mom in her hair salon and remembering how beautiful and excited her clients were as they left the salon. I recall some of them coming in the salon heavy-hearted and weighed Down and by the end of their appointment, they were as free and happy as ever! It was then that I knew I wanted to make people feel exactly the same way. I began Doing all my friend’s hair (braids) as early as middle school and my passion and gift as stuck with me all throughout life. I now own my own hair salon. Lashline (BELLAYALASH) wig line and hair bundle line (BELLAYABUNDLES outside edition). All natural hair growth oil (Bella essential hair growth oil). I’m looking to expand into the Atlanta area sometime late this year. My calling is hair and reaching out to the younger generation and bringing back morals and principles. And that knowing that no matter what addition the industry brings new or has to offer, we are all beautiful in our most natural state.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been rough! I spent many years in the salon with my mom (she owns her own salon as well), planning and writing out my plans and goals of owning my own. I knew I wanted it to be BIG .. my vision was much Different from hers .. this was years of saving and praying and manifestation. Along the way, I met a guy whom I was dating and I told him my plans and me being the independent person, I’ve always been so big on getting this done myself that I never shared my long-term goal with many people. But this guy thought it not robbery to help me in any way he could and TOGETHER with built beyond Bella hair studio. We separated but he’s still a lifelong friend and when I’m rich and famous, I will reach out and be a blessing to him in any way I can. Not long after, my DREAMS were unfolding before my eyes. I lost my father and weeks later unexpectedly lost my big sister. I got very discouraged in my career but GOD never let me lose the faith and he carried me along the way until I could see my way again.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m the owner and operator of beyond Bella hair studio in Augusta, Georgia 1631 Gordon hw unit 6. I specialize in customer service and making sure each and every client that cross paths with me feel most beautiful and confident. I consider myself an artist. I am a cosmetologist and personal therapist all in one. Because not only do I style hair, I almost listen and provide an escape for my clients. I offer a variety of hairstyles, lashes, facials. When have braiders and also lactations and other styles in the salon as well.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I GIVE GOD THE CREDIT! My mom who have been a salon owner and stylist for over 20 years.
