Today we’d like to introduce you to Jada Bell.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my nail journey three years ago. I taught myself how to do nails because I was extremely unhappy with the services I received at nail shops I visited. After completing my first set, I fell in love with the craft and I knew this was something I wanted to do as a hobby and even as a career. I expressed to my family and husband how serious I was about nails, and they were all very supportive when I brought up the idea of attending a vocational school to obtain my nail tech license. At the beginning of 2020, I started my enrollment process and started attending school in April. During this time, it was the height of COVID and I was extremely fortunate to have the option of digital learning from home for the first four months of the program. This helped so much because I was still able to spend time with my two children. I graduated school in December of 2020 and applied for the licensing exam in February 2021 and was officially a licensed nail technician!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has its ups and downs, but I would have to say building a steady clientele is one of the main struggles I deal with. I do have a few clients I see regularly that I am absolutely blessed to have. I know by staying focused on my end goal, it will pay off. So I just stay positive and know the right clientele for me will come!
As you know, we’re big fans of The name of my business is Royal Touch Beauty, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I take pride in making sure my clients leave my chair happy and satisfied with their nails. I am most proud of the smile my clients have when they see the final product. I am very customer oriented and without them, I would have no business! I specialize in all nail services. I offer acrylic extensions, press ons, manicures, pedicures, and now GelX.
