Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Hernandez Park. She and her team share their story with us below:
Jessica moved from Puerto Rico to the USA at the early age of 19 when recruited by a technology company in NYC. After 20 years of a successful consulting career on the west coast she wanted to do something more meaningful with her life. Her family moved to Georgia and decided to create a unique space of beauty and wellness. A medical spa was ideal as she was able to merge the aesthetics business into a serene wellness spa like environment. She believes that we need botox just as much as meditation in order to converge our inner and outer beauty. Her love of design led her to convert an old movie theater into Park Ave Cosmetic Center, a top-rated med spa in the North Atlanta area. Along with her husband Jason Park, a filmmaker, the idea of a makeover show “Med Spa Life Atlanta” featuring transformations at Park Ave Cosmetic Center is now in the production.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Park Ave Cosmetic Center’s commercial space went into construction in April of 2020 right in the middle of Covid. Our landlord gave us an opportunity to back away from the lease due to Covid environment but Jessica held her faith and moved forward with construction. It was the right move as our business has doubled and it’s on track to profitability.
We’ve been impressed with Park Ave Cosmetic Center, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Park Ave Cosmetic Center is one of a kind medical spa combining a serene wellness environment with the newest aesthetics procedures. The spa menu features minimally invasive procedures such as fillers, botox, lasers, pdo threads, nonsurgical facelifts, skin tightening, medical facials, medical skincare, weight loss therapies such as lean sculpt pro, relaxation therapies such as flotation sensory deprivation and salt infrared sauna. We are most proud of our patient reviews having over 300 five stars across multiple platforms. Our focus is not on the competition but on the experience we provide our customers from start to finish.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The most important lesson about the Covid 19 crisis is the understanding that all things shall pass and one must have faith, conviction and integrity in the work that we do. PACC thrived and survived the pandemic due to great work and reasonable pricing paired with a lux environment. Customers are in tune with value and experiences more than ever, being average is not an option for businesses to grow.
