Hi Lukrative, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m from Kansas City, MO. I struck an interest in music at the age of five years old. I began rapping at the age of 13 and did my first performance when I was 15 years old. I gained much success in music in KC through different paths such as KC’s Next showcase from HOT 103 JAMZ, local radio stations, and collaborations with others. I performed at the KC Music Conference which featured Matthew Knowles and Cardi B. I then relocated to Atlanta, GA in 2018. I took off doing more performances, networking and was even selected to perform at the MIDEM Music Festival in Cannes, France. In 2021, I opened up for several artists such as Tory Lanez, Yung Bleu, and Morray. Today, I am continuing my awesome journey, working on new music, building a larger fanbase, and traveling the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey definitely has its up and downs. There are many challenges that I have faced and overcame. For starters, my father passed when I was 13. This has affected me tremendously, but in a positive light, it has motivated me to push harder for my music. As of recently, the pandemic has affected my career. Due to the pandemic, I missed the opportunity to perform at a music festival in the Netherlands. The pandemic has also made it harder to network and travel. Other obstacles that I’ve been trying to overcome is learning more about the business and meeting the right people.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a hip-hop artist that specializes in rapping and singing. I record and engineer my own music and others. I am known for my melodic and creative flows, distinctive voice as well as catchy hooks that are both relatable and fun. I am also known for my high-energy performances and crowd interaction. I am most proud of the effect that I have on my fans and family. As well as the respect that I receive from my supporters and peers. I am also very proud of the personal growth that I have experienced during the duration of my music career. I’ve seen exponential growth both personally and musically.
How do you think about luck?
Luck is a big part of every industry and especially in the music industry. There has been times where I have been in the right place at the right time. I have been very lucky to have a great team and support system around me. I have also been lucky to have so many opportunities that others strive for.
