Today we’d like to introduce you to Bilqis Stigler.
Hi Bilqis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I got started around April 2019 after the covid outbreak! I was going through many challenging difficulties mentally while also delivering mail for the USPS. I was molested at a very young age. I never seeked counseling; I always done what I knew best to make myself feel better and that was skincare and self-love. A light bulb hit me that I wanted to create a brand for other girls and women to fully express themselves like I done who may also be experiencing silent battles of depression and sexual and physical abuse! I began to create my products with affirmations to remind others just how powerful they are while also providing great quality products.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not! I’ve had to resign my postal position and go back to the very bottom which hasn’t been easy with no funding or grants! I’ve been slowly building myself from scratch with no support of family. Greatly appreciated to have met some business owners along the way who have been allowing me to work with them and build with one another it’s been rollercoaster ride but a fun one!
We’ve been impressed with Beliz Health and Beauty LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We create affirmation skincare that is 100% vegan and organic! What sets us apart is that we have created a foundation built in being your true self and loving the skin you have while providing products to help improve any acne or scars you may be experiencing! We also provide inspiration to let the girls know that we are one we are in this together and to never give up on yourself!
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice would be to never quit and to plan plan plan and plan some more! Keep going because your learning phase is preparing you for your winning phase! I wish I would have known that it’s okay to wing it and not have it all figured out to have more fun and stress less! Trust the process!
