Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Sampson.
Hi Lauren, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My daughter’s name is Kailey Sampson And we are the owners of TutuCuteByL&K! We are a black-owned business located in Augusta, Georgia. Our Business Started October 30, 2014. When I decided to try and make my daughter a tutu for Halloween! My first one was a success and we have taken off since then! I feel like every little girl should be treated and feel like a princess EVERYDAY especially on her birthday! We take our time and we put love into every order that we make! We started off with just tutus now we have everything from T-Shirts To Socks To Any Customized Item You Could Think Of! We have come a long way and I want to thank each and every person who has supported our business since day one!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. When being a crafter, you have to keep up with your seasons. One week you might be booming then the next week your slow and discouraged. I’ve had plenty of trial and error but things only have gotten better with time!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Here at TutuCuteByL&K, we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and making sure that each and every design and product is made uniquely with love and care. The thing that sets us apart from others is when I started this business it was making sure that each and every little girl felt special on her special day. Making it affordable and easy for my customers to give their daughters THAT experience! One other thing that sets us apart is you will never receive the same thing twice! Each outfit is made uniquely for each and every one of our princesses!
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
One lesson that I’ve learned was to take advantage of every opportunity!
