Daily Inspiration: Meet Agnes Stephanie Sylverin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Agnes Stephanie Sylverin.

Hi Agnes Stephanie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist with a true passion for assisting people on their wellness journey through my intuitive healing touch. I had my first massage experience when I was 18 and knew immediately that I wanted to be a Massage Therapist. I have been drawn to healing modalities since my I was a teen. Before attending Massage School I had a career as a Spa Director working with 5 star/diamond spas in Miami and Atlanta.

After graduating from The International School of Skin, Nails and Massage I was invited to become an Instructor.

I currently own The Art of Wellness which is a boutique Wellness Studio located in Downtown Decatur. We offer Massage & Wellness services. We opened in October of 2021. The Art of Wellness’ mission is to promote a holistic, healthy lifestyle by curating wellness experiences for your mind, body, and spirit.

Stephanie Sylverin is mother of four. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Personal Trainer certified by the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), a Women’s Wellness Advocate, and a Birth Worker.

A leader in spa management for seven years in Miami and Atlanta, Stephanie served as Spa Director for the Four Seasons Hotel, Natural Body Spa, and Jolie the Day Spa, working with the industry’s leading trailblazers and spa therapists, including Ronel Corbin, James Keane, and Cici Coffee. After attending massage therapy school, she taught as an adjunct professor at the International School of Skin, Nails, and Massage in Atlanta for three years.

While pregnant with her third child, Stephanie documented her prenatal wellness and fitness experience through her blog, The Mother Earth Project. Recognizing the need for loving support through the unmedicated, natural childbirth process, she began working with doulas to provide intuitive and relaxing massage for pregnant and laboring women as a Birthworker.

Stephanie is certified in Claire Marie Miller’s Nurturing the Mother® Fertility, Prenatal, Labor and Postpartum Massage. In 2020 she joined The Womb Collective, LLC, a team of integrative womb wellness practitioners, as the Womb Massage Specialist.

Blending the mind-body elements of mindfulness with wellness, Stephanie established The Art of Wellness in 2020. The company curates experiences for your mind, body, and spirit through wellness products, fitness, massage services, education, and more. The Art of Wellness provides mobile massage and wellness services to individuals and companies, including the City of Conyers, City of Atlanta, Amerigroup, and CBS46. With a network of wellness professionals and twenty years of experience, The Art of Wellness is Atlanta’s corporate massage provider.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am blessed to say that it has been a very smooth road. The growth of my business took a natural progression. Word of mouth has been my biggest growth factor. My client’s and colleagues referrals keep new clients contacting me weekly.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I consider my massage an art form. Each massage experience is a personalized curation to address the unique needs of the client. There is a conversation that is unfolding between the body and my hands.

I specialize in Therapeutic Massage for everyone. My niche is a focus in working with Reproductive Health Bodywork as a large portion of my clientele are women. Whether your goal is to improve your womb health and regulate monthly cycles or to achieve a successful conception; womb massage is beneficial for all women. I am trained in Womb/Fertility Massage and Prenatal, Labor and Postpartum Massage.

As the Massage Specialist and 1/5 of The Womb Collective, my primary role is to assist women in achieving their womb wellness goals of healing, fertility and prenatal care.
