Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Bentley.
Hi Veronica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
“From Mentally Depressed to Blessed”
I have struggled in the past with self-esteem and social acceptance issues. I have always been conscious of my weight. To add insult to injury, I used to struggled financially; really bad. It contributed to my isolative behavior and suicidal ideations. My mom, Pastor Bentley was always there to add financial support and words of encouragement during this mental battle, but I have always been a person that would ultimately turn down handouts.
The struggle and my childhood, seeing my mother hustle, encouraged “the hustler” in me. I was tired of people talking and I decided to do something about it. Real estate and Mental Health Therapy are the two fields in which I was drawn to.
In 2008, I decided to pursue the path to becoming a licensed Mental Health Therapist. I have since earned my Master’s Degree and became licensed in the state of Georgia as a Professional Counselor. On a weekly basis, I am able to help people who struggle with Mental illness such as Depression, Anxiety, and Psychosis.
In 2015, I took a leap of faith to work towards obtaining my real estate license. I attempted to pass the test four times. I failed the test twice, came late once, forfeiting my money, and on the fourth time, I passed. Real Estate has been trying and a blessing all in one. Lets just say strangers will be a large support for you. Something miraculous occurred in December 2021…I was blessed to have a spot on a Peachtree Downtown Atlanta’s Billboard for six months. My ultimate goal is to make “VonVon The Realtor” a Nationwide name. I have been working on some big moves for the year of 2022 that I cannot tell until it actually comes out, but I will say that I recently was able to gain my real estate Broker’s license in January 2022. This has been a three years goal for me! I was stagnated by fear of testing due to the three previous failures on my first exam. I am proud to say that I passed on the first attempt.
What is a Real Estate Broker? A broker has the ability to open a real estate firm and hire hundreds of real estate agents underneath the company.
What are my intentions with these different career paths? All of these career paths fulfill a purpose and soon, the world will visually see the entrepreneurial plan. My purpose is to help so many people in different facets of life. My passions will always be entrepreneurial-based.
I give all praises to G0d. He turned my mess into blessings.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has never been a smooth road. Especially in Real Estate. People can either make your deal easier or harder. There has been people who have deterred clients from using my services as well as clients who have sang praises to my company. There have been people who have used me to show them numerous properties, only to turn around and let another real estate agent get the sale. My time has been wasted. My gas and resources have been wasted before. What I have learned that it comes down to client loyalty, integrity, and personal prayer. The LOYAL clientele that I have right now, I prayed for.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Georgia Real Estate Broker: I specialize in luxury, investors, and first-time home buyers. I don’t discriminate. If a person wants me to be their realtor, I help them, no matter the budget.
What sets me apart: My loyalty, realness, and relationship-building skills. Real Estate is about building long-term relationships.
I work with someone Atlanta’s most elite people.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Honesty, Integrity, my bulldog mentality, my master negotiating skills… I fight for what’s mine.
