Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn Murrain.
Hi Dawn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a licensed Realtor in the State of Georgia- with Village Premier Collections. Over 25 years of experience as a Wedding/Event Planner & holding a Master’s Degree in Project Management, I have found a love in real estate that allows me to combine both skills! Finding families their dream home is an event in itself. I love meeting new people and putting together a plan to find their forever home! There is no better feeling than being instrumental in the process of homeownership & my goal is to teach the next generation the importance of buying property. My business is based around love, family, and connections!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I got into Real Estate a little over three years ago and then the pandemic hit. As a new agent, I wasn’t sure how this would affect my learning and growing my business. It wasn’t until I was invited to join VPC that I truly found my tribe. They have been very hands on and supportive and have made this past year and a half great for myself and my business. The housing market itself in Atlanta has been tough, with almost no inventory and high prices, it has made it hard to find families homes in a reasonable time. I have been grateful to have clients who trust me & trust the process. I am very positive and supportive and walk them through the process every step of the way.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My personal Real Estate business is called Sonneblom Estates – Sonneblom means “sunflower”, which symbolizes adoration and loyalty. Those traits are the foundation of my business. As a Realtor, I am loyal to each family I work with. Most of my friends know me as “Sunshine” and that is what I try to bring to each person I meet personally and professionally. What sets me apart from other Realtors is this is not a job for me but a passion. I have a great career as a project manager with a wonderful kid’s hospital here in Atlanta – so when I take on a client its because I am drawn to help them. I love the feeling of being selected and I don’t ever meet a stranger. The Universe will let us cross paths if it is meant to be. I am a strong believer. I am a connector. Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Seeing an individual or a family purchase a home is a great feeling. I am touched every time we sit at the closing table. I was 25 when I purchased my first home & I remember that feeling like it was yesterday. Being a part of that process is hands down a great feeling and I enjoy it more than anything.
