Conversations with Charmaine Sinclair Dupree

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charmaine Sinclair Dupree

Hi Charmaine Sinclair Dupree, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After an invitation from legendary performers to do a show. Is what Turned into a life of pomp and grandeur. From my first time on stage to present day, I am living my best life. Being asked to perform as Cher changed the way I looked at myself as a drag entertainer. And I’m always looking for new ways to keep myself current. I am a former miss hotlanta new and former miss face of Atlanta. And always want to be remembered as the Qween that really cared.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a Rocky road. But to struggle makes you stronger. Just trudge that road of happy destiny. And if you’re patient, the payoff is so rewarding.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am one Qween that is keeping the art of old school classic drag alive. Known as the glamour goddess. I promote class and dignity. It is an honor to impersonate an iconic legend such as Cher. Show my respect to her and to the art form. And always the one that stands out at the family picnic.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Is that in a crisis such as this the stylist and the house keeper are the first to loose their jobs. Of which I’m both. And thank goodness drag is also my career. But always save just in case.
