Daily Inspiration: Meet Jazzmyn Andrews

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazzmyn Andrews.

Hi Jazzmyn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always loved doing makeup! I remember when I was just a little girl watching my mother do her make up in the morning and I would always ask “what’s that for”! Even though I always had a passion for makeup, I didn’t start my career off until about seven years ago. I attended Atlanta technical college In my hometown of Atlanta, GA for my educational background. Things weren’t always easy. I dropped out of high school and then go to pregnant with my daughter. When things ended with her dad, I decided to better my life not just for me but for my baby girl (who is now eight years old). I went to Atlanta job Corp to achieve getting my high school diploma where I also received a certification in business finance. I’m an art lover my favorite is abstract, I feel as though it is the most expressive form of art. That’s how I see makeup as simply expressing yourself.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A couple of struggles I had was being a young single mother with minimal help and a big goal/dream to achieve.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I wouldn’t exactly say I specialize in anything because I feel as though I’m the best at everything I do. The thing that sets me apart from everyone else is my creativity. I’m very creative and resourceful.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see my industry talking over, make up and art plays a big factor in today’s society. when I get on social media and see the influences, I see growth and change in the technics and different forms of makeup/art
