Today we’d like to introduce you to Tella B.
Hi Tella B, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
“Tella B is my artist name. “Tella” is part of my first name and has been my nickname since birth. In my family, I’m the baby girl so the “B“ stands for just that, baby. I’ve been singing since I was five years old. My dad will always be the best in my book. It started from him. He would train myself and my siblings to sing at church. From there, we put out gospel music as a group called 1way under Grammy award-winning producer Allen “grip“ Smith. I love gospel music, it speaks to my beliefs and was all I knew as a kid. I used to feel so bad for wanting to sing about other things. Things that were just life situations. And tho I loved singing with my family. I always had dreams of doing music solo. For some time, I hated that I allowed myself to grow in a box. Now I’m like OKAY enough of sitting on music. I write out of pure emotions or feelings I have as just a woman. I’ll always be excited about creating because that’s the beauty of it. I’m not sure where this journey will take me but I’m willing to bet on myself and my gifts. My songs are written 100% by me and produced by 808 King of Push productions LLC.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t. A lot of doubts at times. Some, you just wonder if you’re doing it the right way. Should I post this picture or not. How many times should I post on the internet a day ?? It can be challenging because I struggle with depression and anxiety. So posting could be nothing to someone who doesn’t know the struggle of depression. But to someone who battles it, it’s like pulling teeth. But it’s my passion so I fight through and get it done. But it’s definitely a challenge.

Although I’m an artist. I do have other hobbies such as rap, paint, I’m a photographer. I have my own photography company called “Tellavision Photography” based in Atlanta, GA. Both Instagram can be followed @T3llab or @tellavision_photography follow.
What does success mean to you?
Success to me is meeting YOUR goal. Everyday goals or long-term goals. I feel like everyday SOMETHING should be done to put you one step towards your goal. Otherwise, you have wasted time. That’s how I live…
