Today we’d like to introduce you to Satieria “Tiery” C.
Hi Satieria “Tiery”, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My love for food has always been with me. As a child, I was known for being “greedy” when desiring more food than what I was given. Growing up, I’d watch shows such as Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmerman, Diners, and Drive-Ins and Dines with Guy Fieri; I was so inspired by their passion for food while sharing their experiences with the world! – My Foodie journey began when I moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia State University. Living in Downtown Atlanta exposed me to incredible restaurants, which made me eager to seek more incredible restaurants all around Atlanta. When visiting eateries, I’d only tell my friends and family about my experiences until one day, I decided that I wanted to become a food blogger and a source for all things food. To jumpstart my journey, I shared my first photo of tacos on Instagram in Summer 2020. From there, I’ve been collaborating with well-known restaurants and businesses while also meeting other Foodies locally and internationally. My journey thus far has been rewarding, and I’m so excited to continue to grow my platform while helping people find some of the BEST food Atlanta has to offer!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There certainly have been some bumps in the road. As I started this journey, I’d document as I go, on my own time and whenever I could. However, since my platform is proliferating, the demand for content is also rising! Working as a full-time Marketer and part-time Food Influencer and Content Creator can be overwhelming at times, but I really love what I do.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am multifaceted! I’m a Creative Marketer and a Content Creator for TongueTied. Aside from those two, I have talents in photography, production, photo/video editing, writing, graphic design, creative direction, and the list goes on.
What sets me apart from others is my authenticity and integrity. With TongueTied, I’m not posting food to post food. I ONLY post content of what I honestly recommend and not just because I have a collab with a brand or whatever else it could be. I want my audience to trust me regarding food recommendations as their go-to source.
